Bath Saracens are proud to announce that BMT Group will take up main sponsorship for the 2017/18 season. BMT is very active in the defence sector, and with the Saracens background as a Civil Service Sports Club, the parallels between the two organisations are apparent.
BMT is a leading international design, engineering, science and risk management consultancy with a reputation for engineering excellence. With four offices based in Bath, they are one of the largest private employers in the city, with many BMT employees often attending games to show their support for the Saracens.
Former BMT employee and this year’s Saracens captain, Alex Reilly, was elated to share the news:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at BMT and hold them in the highest regard. So when their marketing manager replied to our sponsorship request and gave us the opportunity to pitch the club to BMT Asset Performance and BMT Defence Services, I wanted to make sure that they saw what the club meant to its members and what we could give back to them as a potential sponsor. Thankfully they saw the passion that everyone has for the club and agreed to become our main sponsor for the year. I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Roy Quilliam and Barry Flower for taking a chance on a little rugby club with big ideas.”
Sarah Watkins, Marketing Manager for BMT Asset Performance, commented:
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring Bath Saracens this year. Giving back to our local community is an integral part of BMT’s ethos, and we’re particularly proud to be supporting a team which has strong links to the civil service as one of our biggest customers is the UK’s Ministry of Defence. We wish the team all the very best this season, and look forward to attending some matches!”
The Saracens will be turning out in their newly sponsored shirts for the first time at home to Warminster 2nds on 28th October.
