Saracens delighted to announce new head coach

The big news just keeps rolling in for the Saracens over the last few weeks.

We are pleased to announce Dean Taylor has joined Bath Saracens as Head Coach for the 2017-18 Season. Dean joins Bath Saracens after coaching the Bath Rugby Developing Player Programme (DPP) under Bath Rugby’s Assistant Academy Coach George Tavner for the last 3 years. Level 2 RFU qualified, Dean also has coached Somerset, Midsomer Norton and Walcott at Junior level. “After meeting the committee and hearing their exciting plans for the future, I am delighted to be joining Bath Saracens as Head Coach. I am looking forward to working with the players and further developing them based upon the first class coaching experience I have gained working with Bath Rugby’s DPP.”

Dean’s arrival is seen as a real coup for the team. Bath hooker Tom Dunn has worked with him on and off the pitch and only had words of praise for Saracens’ new addition, “Dean is a top bloke, who has a great passion for rugby, embodies the spirit of rugby and I’m sure he’ll be a fantastic addition to Bath Saracens.”

Dean will oversee his first game as head coach against Bradford on Avon 2nds on 16th September, at the Sulis Club.
