Bath Saracens visited Warminster and came away with all 5 points gained in emphatic style. The visitors got off to a flying start, touching down three times before Warminster picked up their first points with a try of their own. After this the hosts started to work their way back into the contest and began to make better use of their possession in the increasingly difficult conditions. However Sarries well organised defence held firm and by sticking to their game plan they withstood a period of pressure to stay well ahead at half time.
After the break Sarries collected their fourth try and the bonus point from their first foray into the Warminster half. The hosts spirits were lifted with their second touchdown, however this was short lived and a flurry of tries from Sarries put the result beyond doubt well before the final whistle.
Saracens try scorers were; Pete Baldwin (2), Ed Bell (2), Matt Tomes-Smith, Jamie Navarette, and Ben Johns. Centre Todd Jones had a perfect afternoon with the boot, slotting over all seven conversions. Coaches Dean Taylor and Mark Ball were delighted with the all round performance, however Man of the Match was awarded to Nick Hayden for his impressive work rate at flanker.
This Saturday sees Bradford on Avon make the short journey across the valley to visit Saracens at the Sulis Club.
