Bath Saracens had a fine start to their Dorset & Wilts league season, with an 87- 0 home win against Warminster 2’s. The writing was on the wall, when winger Paddy Thomas finished off a move from a line out in the first minute of the game. Thomas went on to add a further five touch downs for his double hatrick. Sarries accumulated a total of 13 tries. with scrum half Hamish Donelly making a notable contribution adding nine conversions and a try.
Whilst delighted with the result Sarries will also be pleased with their solid defensive effort that didn’t concede a single point to the visitors, who despite the scoreline battled hard for a consultation right through to the final whistle. Sarries now face a difficult run of fixtures through the month of October, starting with a trip to Amesbury, followed by games against two of the league favourites, Bradford on Avon and Wheatsheaf RFC of Salisbury.
